Its great. I mean its volume 13 so if ur looking at this review you should have read the other 12 volumes already. So the question is why r u reading this when u could read volume 13. PLUS ULTRA!!!
I've always admired Horikoshi for his genius writing and intricate characters, and this volume only reinforced my admiration! Specifically an event that happened towards the very end of the volume involving Katsuki and Izuku. Shame this volume was on the shorter side.
An emotional rollercoaster, just like the rest of the series. This volume pushes the characters further into their development as well as expands on the seriousness of the plots unfolding in this world.The art and world building has always been enthralling, but the character development that we start to see within this chapter alone has me on the edge to read the next volume.
They Look great and came in good condition! Plus Ultra!

Great book, bad Kindle version.I'm an undergrad. I bought this to learn Lisp, and it's absolutely blown my mind with how good it is. I've learned more from this book than I ever will from my college classes. I'd say this has been a really good introduction to Lisp, and a really good introduction to AI. It's easily becoming my favorite programming book. It's covered more material than 3/4 of my programming classes combined.The kindle version is bad though. The syntax is all wonky, which is critical when you need to differentiate `s from 's and ,s from .s. There are tons of misspellings in the kindle version. The code formatting is very difficult to read. Thankfully I've been able to get the code from the Peter Norvig's web page. If you can, get the paper edition. This is the second Common Lisp book I've read, so I've had enough experience that I can debug all of these problems myself.
As for AI part I must say that even though this book is somewhat old, its still very good for people new to the world of AI (such as myself). Since I only have another Norvig's book (http://www.amazon.com/Artificial-Intelligence-Modern-Approach-Edition/dp/0137903952/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1359373092&sr=8-3&keywords=Norvig) to compare to I must say that this book takes a more practical approach, allowing one to understand ways in which implementation efficiency can be improved.For CL part - the best CL introduction and real world usage book in my opinion. Yes, I've read PCL, yet still this book digs a lot deeper when it comes to optimization patterns for Common Lisp. Motivation for almost every design choice is clear (overcoming Prolog's drawbacks is one of my favorite parts).Also this book offers a variety of exercises and some of those are quite a time-killers.As for cons - some of the exercises are formulated a bit freely. And again, book is 20 years old, so some content is a bit outdated, especially techno-related.
Intro into Common Lisp with overview of specific outdated use cases. This book does not cover high level difficulties in AI development, falling back to description of historically significant AI projects, that are not representative of the field anymore and are covered on a very basic level.
Classic book on both programming and AI. While the AI material is obviously dated, the programming examples are great for anyone who wants to learn Common Lisp.
The book is excellent. It provides a great source of information to learn Common Lisp and programming techniques. The exercises are nontrivial which makes the book great to use in my classes. I am using it to teach programming courses.Nevertheless, the kindle version has a lot of problems. The code blocks are images, so I can't resize the fonts, show them in the projector during the class doesn't work. There are a lot of small typos in the text. Some cross-references like "in page X" must be rewrite to links that better fit the electronic format. I am very frustrated with the current electronic version and I hope that Amazon improve it soon. It would be great to have some feedback from Amazon about my suggestions of improvement.
Peter Norvig is very knowledgeable and a great author. Highly recommended if you're interested in AI. The chapter on optimization is extremely valuable.

Unusual in that not only it is informative but an easy read.

If I couldn't have a Biblical novel by Jill Eileen Smith, this is what I would want. Jill does a superb job crafting the stories of characters who don't have voices in the Bible, while remaining true to Scripture and encouraging readers to read--or re-read--the Bible accounts for themselves. Each mini-story is written with deft attention to detail and three-dimensional, authentic voices. These ladies sound like ones I would meet in everyday life and maybe offer a cup of cocoa.More than that, I appreciated Jill's thoughts on each woman's relationship with God, how each woman's story applies to us, and how we can cope when, well, life doesn't match our dreams. In this season, I find myself identifying especially with Hagar, but everyone had something valuable to say. Jill's end-of-chapter questions also probe deep, encouraging real introspection. If I had her ear, I would ask her to make this a full-blown Bible study with an interactive workbook.Rumor has it Jill is planning another book like this soon. All I can say is, hurry, please!

I read the Bible, some commentaries on the Bible, and the occasional books that we read for our church group gatherings. When Jill Eileen Smith released a "non-fiction" Christian living book based on 12 women of the Bible, I wasn't sure about the book but knew that the author would have wonderful, fresh insight into what lessons we can learn from these Biblical women. So I dove in. Wow, am I glad I did. The book is incredibly well-written, with the author's trademark writing style that flows so easily, engages from the first sentence, and leaves the reader pondering and praying long after the last page is read.Each chapter begins with "If I Were ___" that puts the reader in first person narrative into the heart of each woman. Then the chapter transitions into "In Our World" to put the same issue the Biblical woman wrestled with into our current day. The imaginative Biblical scene again comes to life in the next section entitled "Imagine with Me" where the author takes the reader further down in the Biblical woman's life and then the chapter concludes with a lesson learned (such as "From Regret to Freedom" and "From Duplicity to Trust") and points to ponder, as well as questions to take the lesson further. The book spans such well-known women like Eve, Sarai, Hagar, Rebekah, Rachel, and Leah but also focuses on the lesser known or celebrated women like Adah (Noah's wife), Melah (Lot's wife), Dinah, Aneksi (Potiphar's wife), Tamar, and Zipporah. No matter how or why life has derailed for each of these women, it is clear that God has been there through it all and there is always hope in Him.This is a book that will have you running to the store to buy for your sisters and friends. The juxtaposition of environmental issues and gay rights creates a smart book that reminds us of issues being talked about on a daily basis.
Just not my type of story.
I love Jess Walter. I have been waiting, seemingly forever, for his next novel. This story reminds me why I'm such a fan.
A terrible book, one that tried to throw everything into a short story, with not everything even fitting. Poorly written as well, I could excuse the lame story line if the writing was at least interesting
