I was excited to read another book by these two authors again. The wait was worth it. The characters are developed and interesting. They’re not the typical repetitive kind of daughter, father, boyfriend etc. that you find in a lot of books these days. They have flaws and are very different from each other which keeps it real. The story has you guessing as to where it’s going and the surprises are fun when they happen. I can usually put books down to sleep but this one had me losing some zzz’s for just “one more chapterâ€. I’d like to see another book with the same characters now that the cat is out of the bag. It would be fun to see what’s next for all of them.
I rarely read fiction anymore but I could not put this book down! I love Rod's story telling style, it pulled me through and I read this book nonstop on a flight. Felt like a kid again reading page after page with such anticipation. And the best part about this book is that you'll learn some simple but powerful techniques that will improve your life.
So excited to have another read from this pair of writers. I've been looking forward to it for months.Couldn't put it down and I'm on my second read.I've even started using the releasing techniques.Can't wait for their next book.

I loved this book! There has never been a more complete book written on this subject i have read. It will teach you about gear, music, techniques, business advice, and the industry as a whole. If you have never touched DJ gear, you will learn everything you need to start doing gigs. If you have DJ'd for a while like I have, you will pick up great tips to rejuvenate your love of it. I started deejaying back in 2017 through private lessons. Unfortunately, due to relocating internationally and not having the proper equipment or connections like I had when I first started, I was a bit lost on how to get back started. I follow Digital DJ Tips on social media and saw the promotions. I decided to give it a try. This book reminded me of a lot of the basics that I honestly forgot over time as well as introducing me to a lot of good info that I never considered. It also pointed out many things that I had been doing right up until that point. The language in the book was very down to earth and easy to understand (I did spot one grammatical error or typo. I'm a former ESL teacher so I notice these things but it didn't take away from the overall message :) ) I used it to pass time at work a lot. I definitely recommend it to any aspiring DJs or DJs who (like me) are trying to get back into the game.
This book is excellent, like most everything Phil produces. It is great overview of all things DJ for beginnings, but even experienced pros like me will get great ideas or have blanks filled in as well. Highly recommended to any current or aspiring DJs.
I started DJing in 2010. I literally saw a cool DJ video on YouTube and decided it would fun. The next day I found myself at a music store and after 3 hours purchased a controller (outside of my budget and not what I needed in the least). I had to figure out everything - where to get music; how to organize it; how to hook up everything; how to get gigs. There was so much trial and error. This book really compresses years worth of experience into an easy to digest format. I really wish this was available when I started.
For someone who is new to DJing and wants to get an excellent overview of the basics, this is a great book. I have gone on to Phil's other more advanced video and written guides which are also excellent but this lays down those very important first things to think about.
I have been using digital Dj tips for over a year now and love all the training and tips. I would recommend them to anyone serious about being a better than average Dj.
Even just in the first chapter I am learning so many useful tips. I can't wait to get into the rest of it! Great models and recommendations. It is just so nice to have all of this wonderful information offline and all in one plalce. Lots of great tips to ensure you are on the right track in your DJ journey!

He served as President of the CBI from that date until 2004 when he became Chairman of Severn Trent. Among many other roles, he was Chairman of Inchcape plc, Chairman, and later President, of the London Tourist Board, President of the Institute of Management and is Chancellor of Coventry University. He was knighted in 1986.

Pete the cat, too cool for school by Kimberly and James DeanAudio children's book Pete the cat. He has many choices of what to wear to school to be the cool guy.He asks others for their advice and they tell him their favorites. Silly tale and then after school he decides on what his favorites are...I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).
We like the Pete the Cat books, which are part of Harper Collins' "My First Level, I Can Read!" series. Pete may not be as well known as Little Critter, Biscuit, Fancy Nancy, or the Berenstain Bears, but he has a kid-size groovy vibe that bests those slightly aging franchise bedrocks.Unlike some of the "I Can Read" books, the Pete books usually have a complete story, with a clear beginning, a couple of developments in the middle, and then a satisfying ending. I like that even in very early readers. What happens makes sense and the endings are satisfying. Each fully illustrated page has two sentences, running from four to seven words each. That's a nice length and a good and fair challenge for a little starting reader. The drawings fully support the text, and while they look a bit amateurish at first the characters are actually expressive and presented effectively.Many of the Pete books have a mild message, (be yourself, do your best). Here, Pete is choosing an outfit to wear to his first day at school. He takes advice from everyone and ends up way, way overdressed and rather silly looking. Finally, Pete takes off everything and puts on what he wants. Be yourself indeed. The message didn't strike me as terribly heavy-handed, but that's mostly because it was hidden under so many layers of silliness. The Pete books vary in their messageness, and this one does fall a bit to the obvious side of the balance. That said, it's fun and a bit ambitious, which is a nice touch for such an early reader.So, all in all, this is one of the few early readers books that strikes me as "set worthy" and we've been happy to collect them all over time. The paperback versions are particularly good value.
This book was disappointing. I bought it since my son is a major Pete The Cat fan but he wasnt interested in this book at all and frankly neither was I. There is no song, no asking questions, no fun story line. It was basically "hey its valentines day, watch me make cards for people, the end." The best part of the whole book was the valentines day cards inside. The poster was incredibly dumb and went in the trash pretty quickly. Its a picture of the cover of the book, and then its a picture of the book showing the cover. Pointless. I wouldn't recommend buying this unless you are only looking to get the valentines day cards.
This is a fun book, and Pete the Cat and his friend Callie are lots of fun. I like how they make Valentine cards for everyone, but I can't help but be bothered that Pete makes fun cards for all the boys in his class and then makes heart cards for all the girls. Thankfully my son can't read yet, so I help that part of the story be more friendly towards the girls.
My 5 year old loved Pete the Cat after I introduced him to the "white shoes" book. We then purchased the Easter and Halloween books, which he enjoyed as much as the original. This was purchased as a Valentine gift that he was thrilled to receive and wouldn't put it down. It is written exactly the same as the other holiday books, which was disappointing to me and is the reason for a four star rating instead of five stars. However, if your child likes Pete, he/she will enjoy reading this book, too.
This was purchased for a barely 3 year old to give to her parents for Valentine's Day. There is a poster and stickers so it was challenging to discourage her from looking at those items as we prepared it as a gift. Once she opens the gift with her parents, I think it will be fun for them to read the book, play with the stickers, and to hang up the poster. It is a nice read also for a toddler/small child.
Can I give 10 stars? This $6.39 book is worth a million! The story is really cute & the tear out cards, stickers & poster come perforated for easy removal.I ordered LLAMA LLAMA valentines & If you give a mouse... Valentine’s also. They are all sweet books but the kids really loved the activity included.
I did not expect the quality of this book to be as good for the price. Hard bound book and larger than a typical book. Roughty 9x9" I had purchased it for a small valentine's gift but for the price, I'm going to keep it and just get a bigger bag. Who doesn't love Pete the Cat?
While not a big fan of the Old McDonald song, I grew to like it via Pete's interpretation and colorful art work. I also get to like the many repetition and different animal sounds the book suggests, with its corky drawing and easy to read layout. Thanks Pete for re-introducing me to this tiring old song.

EEEEK! I cant't say ENOUGH about how much I love this collector's addition book!!!!!!!!!! I read Vol. 2 in one day and immediately ordered 3 + 4 (so if you see my review on both vol. 3 and 4, that's why haha). The quality is great, the drawings are incredible, and the story makes me SWOON like a middle schooler (and I'm 19 yrs old). Plus- the price is 10x better here than in other book stores or other stores online !I will 100% be buying the rest of the series <3
I have bought 1-5 so far (buying 1 every other week) and I am in love. The collection is adorable and they look great on my book shelf. The quality is great and the illustrations are beautiful. I am just writing this because on the Momiji manga had some marks on it and none of the others did. Regardless I still love it and very happy with my purchases will be buying the rest of the series!Took a picture with ps4 game for size reference.
I love the series, but these books came badly damaged. I ordered all twelve of the collector's edition and over half of them came in the mail with tears or grime on the cover. Others were badly wrinkled. WIll have to return them.
Not too many anime series have gripped me like Fruits Basket has. I'm really hoping for a second and even a third season, but even if that does not happen, I still wanted to get the manga and find out what happens. I really recommend this product. Usually, each individual book costs around $10.00 US, so about $40.00 total. Here, with this box set, you get four books for twenty dollars! Plus, it comes in a nice attractive box. If you don't know what this anime is about, I highly recommend you watch it, even if you are not into the whole "romantic comedy" scene. And the author is so funny! I like her sense of humor and that she likes (loves) to play video games, and brags about it all the time. Well, that's it. Until later, Will out. God bless.

This is the first four English manga graphic novels from the very popular Fruits Basket series. They come in a decent box, but I've seen better box quality (but I've also seen worse box quality).The real treat with this boxset is Amazon's price which is just shy of $20. If you buy something else at the same time to push you over the free shipping mark of $25, then this will make the four graphic novels less than $5 each shipped; this is extremely rare for brand new manga, especially such a popular series like Fruits Basket.If you are unsure whether you'd like the series, I'd only buy separate volumes if, when you try new manga titles, you tend to stop after the first book when making up your mind. If you're like me in that you at least usually give the second volume a try even if you are unsure if you'll like the series, then this boxset is the way to go. It's basically 4 manga for the price of 2.
It was a little beat up, but its a used book so I guess that was to be expected.As for the actual story, this was one of my first manga back in middle school, and I still absolutely love the story!

~4/5Yui is continuing to cause trouble. I don’t take her as seriously as a contender for romance, and really wouldn’t mind a girl being introduced as a real character who doesn’t care about Raku romantically, so her declaring her love for Raku annoys me. I don’t mind her goading the other girls into embarrassing situations, though.Next, Marika tries a new tactic to get Raku’s attention: ignoring him. This only concludes in a super sweet scene between them, though, where she gets all sappy and Raku is super sweet to her. Then we see a confession from Chitoge, to a side character, while trying to convince them of her “real†relationship with Raku.The last big plot is a school festival, including a lot of very cute cosplay, and a beauty contest. The beauty contest was actually rather funny, with a surprise twist at the end, and I appreciated that. I do find Haru’s crush as annoying as Yui’s, and mostly just unnecessary, though.
