This book makes the thought of my first marathon less intimidating. I really like how it breaks down everything from the why of doing workouts, goal setting, nutrition, etc. Everything you need to know is in this book and I'm excited to use one of the plans for my first marathon! My only complaint is that the book mentions a peak long run of 16 miles yet the last week of the From Scratch plan has a 17 mile run the Wednesday before the marathon (page 114). I think this is a typo from reading the other plans but it'd be nice to know what mileage should be run that day when I reach that week of training.
