About the Author
Russell M. Nelson is a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Prior to his call, he was a world-renowned cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, medical researcher, and educator. He received his B.A. and M.D. degrees from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. He and his wife, the late Dantzel Nelson, are the parents of ten children. Dantzel Nelson passed away in February 2005. Elder Nelson married Wendy L. Watson, a professor of marriage and family therapy in BYU's School of Family Life, in 2006.

I really liked that he spoke so much on life on earth as well as the death experience and what we need to do, while here on earth, to prepare for our immortal existence. Very well done and I loved all the quotes from past prophets as well. How to cope with the mourning experience and that it is a very necessary part of losing someone you love. A very good read! I like the writing style of this book by Russell Nelson. I recommend it to anyone who has lost a loved one to death. It is inspiring to realize those loved ones are just beyond the veil. I gave it a five star rating because all of his books are that caliber.
It was clear and easy to read. It was all concepts that I already knew but I needed to read again, looking for comfort from the sudden death of my husband.
